The Rise, Fall & Rise Again of Homeopathy
In this podcast, we discuss the history of homeopathy in the US. From its surge in the early 1900’s when there were more than 100 homeopathic hospitals, to its fall at the hands of the Flexner Report leaving only a quarter of those hospitals left by 1935. Finally, we discuss its resurgence in the 1960’s and 70’s, in-part due to dissatisfaction with conventional medical practices and a shift in consciousness.
Where are we now? Is homeopathy on a rise or is it still being smothered by a system of medicine that seeks to suppress alternative health care options? Did the pandemic further stifle homeopathy with over-reaching bans on health freedoms and attempts to choke out non-allopathic options through censorship and “fact-checking?” Or did these measures simply create yet another resurgence of interest in homeopathy and other natural modalities? Listen in to hear our thoughts.
